im trying to animate faces being extruded something like this animated gif but i wanted it to be fluid and im kind of stuck on how to do it

use an extrude/face extrude modifier and animate it!

rather stupid question for ya
i remember setting max to have faces show as RED when they are slected instead of the outline red
how do i make it solid red again??
