Very impressive. Definitely one of the best Batmen. I actually like that you went with a fairly realistic muscular body instead of an all beefed up Batman. Batman is more of an athlete then a body builder and the stature of your Batman fits that very nice.

Finally you've posted your Batman :scream:
i have to make you my compliments for the result! i love your character and the style which you have wanted to give him, though I'm not a great fan of American's superheros, specially Batman.

i like very much the scene's atmosphere, the attention to the details and something sweet particulars like the "like-bat" teeth and the bats in the background ;)

the only strange thing to me is the dark eyes... i don't know.. but, to me, some white pixel to simulate the eye's specular could give more expression to the character... also i undertand that the dark eyes were a choise. I express only my opinion :)

What bothers me is the choice of character design you've picked. The knight looks too skinny and the grace on his face is not what I can expect from this great character.

wow i think it looks really nice. the onyl thing i honestly dont care for as much as the rest is the face. its modeled very well. but the lighting of it to me does not seem bat man. he is always cloaked in the darkness with very deep shadows. much like the eyes have. i think deeper shadows on his face would look nice. Hands down one of the best things I've seen on this site. There's detail crammed into every last pixel. As for the interpretation of the character? Yes, he's skinnier than we're used to, but to me it makes for a much more vulnerable and human Batman, which he should be.

Technically, I can't knock what you've achieved. The figure is well proportioned and seemingly anatomically accurate... I'm going to now make a complete arse of myself... So I'm apologising before I begin. Short of wearing a cape and prancing around, like those individuals you see at Collectors fairs... I'm a die-hard Batman fan.

If there is one thing I don't like about this piece, it is the actual Batman body itself. I've recently criticised people for assaulting the conceptual aspects of other artists work, and now find myself on that same fringe. I love the face... always good to get in a plus before you go for a minus...

Most fans have an idea about what their favorite Batman aesthetic is.... It may well be that I've seen too many Alex Ross depictions (I certainly haven't seen this 'Dead End' short), but I don't know if I can believe that your Bruce Wayne seems physically capable of being the Black Knight. Hes got the body of my Dad, which is fine for a Psychotic Freeclimber and Fencer, but not what I'd pictured for a man who's spent hours in the gym, doing gymnastics, weights, martial arts and break falls all day... not to mention kicking the excrement out of burly undesirables in the midnight hours.

I've trained as a fighter for 10 years, getting brakes and bruises, and can't help but think your Batman looks every bit breakable. I hope this doesn't offend, I suppose I'm hoping you'll do another bulkier version with the same artistic excellence you've used here, but thats just cheeky.

I shouldn't post this as I'm not offering you anything technically useful or constructive... but I've been sitting here pondering what to say for awhile now so...

Please take this in the way it was meant... If it had been the Flash's body or Elastic Man's, I would have not said anything.

Nice idea to use Normal Maps for the creases in the cloth. I like how the final render looks so not CG and is Hyper Real. The grimey dark feel is a nice touch.

This work has been extreamly inspireing to me, and you have set a Benchmark for people like my self who aspire to this level.

Amazing work... it would be really nice if you could do a little tutorial about how to export normalmaps from zbrush to max. I've search a lot and found some outdated stuff. I always get this wird lines all over the model so i guess i'm doing something wrong.

The image is extremely well achieved in terms of modeling and texture. The backgrounds, the painting, everything is there. However, Batman is such a great character that I know you can get so much more from him.

The expression is good, but he is just standing there... no pose, no action. The character is mysterious and very complex, if you give him that with your outstanding technical abilities you'll have a masterpiece.

I saw the film that you mentioned as your inspiration. It was great. Batman is and will always be one of my favorite super heores. This image takes the idea of who and what Batman is even farther than what we are all familiar with. I like how Sandy and yourself present the Dark Knight with the original but improved costume. This also conveys the dark and emotional aspects of the character that we do not often get to see.

Nice detail! I'd rather like a Batman without those vampire teeth...and a wee bit more on the shoulders...Batman is definitely more built than that. The cloth looks cheap though...certainly, Bruce Wayne could afford more expensive 'hyper' suits!!! I think the cloth color would look better if it was darker...remember he's the dark knight! I just think his bicep area looks odd to me, I don't know why. And the front of his cape looks more like his neck than the front of his cape if that makes any sense.

He's just the right combonation of bat man. Part Dark knight and part Adam West. I'd like to see what kind of Batmobile is in your head. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the Batarang, but it's purely based on my poor taste. I think it looks more like the head of a battle ax rather than a bat.

This is arguably the best portrayal of Batman since Frank Miller, in my opinion. Real creative.
