Hellewwwww everyone...It's been quite a while...

I need to be done with this thing in 2 more evenings (I'm doing it outside of my dayjob) so it might be a little late but I thought I'd post this here for some critique...

It's a CD cover. The right side would be the front and the left half will be the back.
They wanted something psychadellic and they insisted I use a set of photos that they had to take for me, so this is what I came up with.
I'm taking a little artistic license on the light direction so I can get the sun/moon in there. (If it were accurate for the photos, the light source wouldn't be in frame.)

That white mound at the bottom left bothers me. So does the blue sky behind the leaves of the tree that is obviously in front of a large white cloud. Decent composition.

yeah I still haven't filled in that white area yet...It'll have more grass there. I'm gonna have it taper down on the right side, too...it won't just be cut out crappy like that.

I still plan on working on the shadows a little more and fixing up the upper-left side of that wall behind the guy, too.:beer:

Hey again

I need to turn this thing in to the printer tomorrow. Any comments (soon) would be greatly appreciated! I know this probably isn't the standard kind of thing people post in this forum but I'm still interested to hear what you guys think. And if any of you know of some other more design-oriented forums where I'd get some more feedback I'd love to know about 'em.

Anyway, another update...I'm gettin close to calling it done, I think. Just need to add the band name and album title (which will go over the guy in front of the wall. Please critique!:bounce:

yea...that is neat...way to go...
No really, the colors and the light used from the sun work very well. The composition works well for a cd cover. Although it is a bit hippy, I still dig it. The only thing that comes to mind is the size of the song titles. Mabye bump the contrast inthose a bit, mabye a bit more white.
