create a pf source and press the "particle view" button.

how do I create a pf source?

and I don't even see the particle view button...

Might help if we knew what version of Max you were using. Max 6 and 7 come standard with Pflow; Max 5 Pflow came as an installable upgrade. Regardless you can access to the pf source in your particle rollout. Or you can use the default hotkey which is "6" to open your particle view and you can access all PFlow has to offer through that. :) When in doubt always refer to the Max User reference; always a great starting point.

no offense, but if you are new enough to 3ds max to need help creating a particle system, teh last thing you need to be doing is messing around with particle flow.

take some time and go through the tutorials (F1) before you go any further.

there are lots of tut's arround the web and also 3dsmax comes also with some tut on the cd if you give some time and watch some tut from the cd you will easy find the way how you will create a pfflow

a smal tips if you use max 6 or 7 just push the key button 6 and your are in the particle view
