Large gaming company in Northern San Diego is seeking an In-game Texture Artist.

Job Description:
This artist will be responsible for producing and applying textures to our in-game models in Maya and converting them via our own custom conversion tools suite. Texture artists are required to apply custom setups for render passes, shader effects and other texture or material based requirements to all the models produced. They must learn our tools quickly and become proficient in producing textures for a high quantity of models at a very high level of quality under a tight and demanding schedule. The artwork produced will be put through a rigorous approval system to ensure high quality, texture efficiency and that we keep on track with our meticulous pre-defined art style for the project.

Requirements: 2+ yrs in Maya. 2+ yrs game production. Low polygon modeling a plus. Flexibility in art styles is extremely important. Traditional 2D background a plus. General knowledge of games production. Adaptation to new tools quickly.
