CGTalk - Q: Mental Ray these

hello,

I"m al last year student at the graphical en multimedia highschool in ghent(belgium).
My these subject handles about mental ray. I need to give a very technical these how
mentalray works.
Now my question.
Do you guy's and girls know some handy site's, pdf, books or technical notes
handling about mental ray.

Yo,

Learningmaya.com and evermotion.org have a rendering section, and the new Gnomon DVD,s specific to mental ray are very informative. Even if you use 3Dmax the principles are the same. good luck.....http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Not to scare you too much, but I had been hoping to learn MR in a month. That time has come and gone and I am still banging my head against it in the basics department. And yes I thought I had known most there was to lighting before.

MR is not really that hard..it's just like any other part of CG. Just look at the program you are using and if you think back you wonder how you did not find the stuff easier when you first started lol
