Hi,

I'm having trouble with UVW maps. When I go to render, despite there being either 'generate mapping coordinates' checked or even a specific UVW map Gizmo.. I still get problems. It alerts me with:

"The following objects require map coordinates and may not render correctly"

And it does indeed fail. This happens with scene's I create and others that I d-load or even one from a training CD,with specific map gizmo's I might add.

Anyone have any ideas to get it working?

Also when I tried to have the map show in the viewports I can't get it to work, but when I open up the same scene that the tutorial instructor made it did display the map in the viewport.. so I know it will work. What am I doing wrong? In the material editor it has show map in viewport as greyed out, like it is disabled or already on. hmm...

Any solutions or prior experience would greatly help... thx in advance!

i thing that U need to add some uvw map modifier to your object and select what mapping U want to use
... right?

Yes, as I said above I have tried it with a UVW map modifier, with the gizmo in place. I have also opened files from a training cd with the uvw map and gizmo in place. It still doesn't work. MAX 4 btw, I forgot to mention that.

Sounds weird.... :hmm:

As for the "show map in viewport" button... make sure your in a material slot (diffuse or whatever).
