i'm working on a little project ( 1 min short ) and i choose for my main character a female android...
Do u remember a video by chris cunningam made for a bjork song called " All is full of love" ?

OMG !!! i love it ...
I dunno what kind of shader could be similar in mental ray... Probably a dgs but i don't have any idea how i can menage it for this kind of results... Any idea ?

k guys...
i made a little search and i found out that is not a cg scene but a compositing between bjork and a real model.

my goal doesn't change and any help is welcome...

u can see the difference between this material's reflections and the material of bjork android.
i don't think is a problem around ior...
any idea ?

I love that video too...
I think you don't need DGS. Go for a blinn or phong and use blurred reflections. Or a layered shader maybe for layering different type of highlights... Put both diffuse color and reflectivity high. This might not be physically correct, but who cares...

What you need is anisotropic reflections. And some IBL. (In RAT there is a shader that looks like that - it's called Jewel and its anisotropic reflections have very very interesting behavior.)
