there's something wierd going on with that surface, I notice the wierd 'pinching' effect on either side of the ellipitcal holes. Anyways, with that there you will not be able to fillet the triangular holes because the surface topology is messed up. You'll have to either fix that top surface, or redo it before filleting will work.

I realy don't see where you want to fillet. I would sugget to use the round tool to make the sharp edges more realistic.
can u post a link to the tutorial?

well they are all seperate parts so i don't think i can use the round tool(i haven't used it before). the tutorial link has closed so i dunno how i can show you the tutorial. it was done by deathbrain, the guy who made the tut for the headlights also, among other tuts.

select one extruded surface
select the front surface
rmb on the extruded surface --> select isoparm
rmb on the front surface --> select trim edge
Edit Nurbs --> RoundTool
Channel Box --> define your Radius
this works for me and I get nice round edges.
