Interesting "what if" take on the origin and ancestors of humankind...if we could grow women this beautiful life would be a lot easier I think. I really like the contrast between the rough style of the ground and roots, and the smooth creamy texture of her skin.

wow.. very, very strong image. the concept seems so simple, yet so often, it's hardest to come up with the simplest, clearest ideas! the composition and execution are just beautifully done, the limbs meld into plant vines seamlessly. I especially love the earthy, reddish glow on areas of the skin like the legs, they bring the otherwise green and cold skin tones to life. very realistically painted and yet very surreal image. (i hope you don't mind, but it's now my desktop wallpaper. :) )

I really like the way the hair and the roots growing down in the ground are painted. The skin has a very soft innocent look to it. I like the take on the origin from which you painted this.

what a magnificent idea!
born and developed as a seed in the earth. the idea is almost kind of chilling, but really interesting as well. the shading is gorgeous, a fantastic use of color. my only crit would be the way the leg is perfect up until just before the ankle where it seems to just pull from there, i almost would have liked to see a strain on the calves and the theigh as well as it pulls up through the ground. other than that this truely is a beautiful piece.

"The Seed" is my favorit drawing. I wanted to have a good start at CGtalk and show You the best :)
It's also very personal and emotional, about a year after this "seed" gave me a son...
