First of all good luck to everybody and enjoy yourself :bounce:
Here is my first idea… obviously any suggestions are welcome :D
One monster…one sorceress… the idea is she has used black magic to witch the monster and turn into a servant. So now the picture put in scene these two characters in the forest near from a river to wash the monster because he’s really dirty.
I want this in a cartoon/realistic style… not too stylize not too realistic. The picture will be also very colorizing to reinforce the cartoon side.
Very soon a first sketch to clarify my idea :)
C&C are welcome

03-27-2005, 12:36 PM
here you can see the monster doesn't want to jump in the river so he is a little bit irritate ... but the sorceress has the ability to deal effectively with various situations ...

Just an idea , why don't the sorceres don't use her powers to clean the monster? She could create magical shampoo ora animate brush (cf : http://www.markfennell.com/video/sorcerer/mickey.jpg :scream: )
keep it up !

03-28-2005, 09:43 PM
Cool concept, Nicholas!
Lots to do, I know, but could make the monster still more 'chunky', and maybe 'twist' his left wrist towards the camera, so the back of the hand shows more fully... (thought)
seeya later ;)
03-29-2005, 07:14 AM

04-01-2005, 06:08 PM
04-01-2005, 06:12 PM
I'm not sure if the musculature it's absolutly correct but i'm happy with it for now :-)
May be the monster will be more fat
Next update "the hands"
Comments are welcome
04-01-2005, 07:21 PM
The new torso's looking Grrreat!!!
Watch out for his upper left elbow/arm region (could bulge out/up a bit more where it's deformed)
04-01-2005, 07:58 PM
Doing nicely Nicolas..............I always liked the idea of having a heavy sort of character with "Under-lying muscle" barely showing through........A large ale or rum swollen stomach with heavy muscle still shown slightly under this layer of fat..........
Quite nice start on the 3D end...looks good, and is going to be fun to see grow up......Best to you......You mentioned I should get to belgium..........By the way,my family is from Belgium...........been to that beauty of a country many many times......;)
Keep the updates coming........:arteest:

04-04-2005, 09:22 AM
Hi, cute and funny image you have! Nice modelling and really like the way you modelled out the stretched muscle on the arm. But maybe the chest muscles need abit of squashed look? Looking great so far!! :D
04-12-2005, 04:17 PM
i worked a bit on the vegetation.
04-12-2005, 04:20 PM

04-16-2005, 02:18 PM

the beast with his tail :)
C&C are welcome
04-16-2005, 02:34 PM
hey there collings great progress... i like your concept.. for the beast i would say that the front two legs are quiet thick if thats the word and it looks like the beast has no neck .. other then that is looking quiet good.. the other model is looking fantastic.. muscles are looking great awaiting updates.. fantastic dude!! good luck with progress
04-16-2005, 02:52 PM
Thank you for comment Neeno!
Yes i'm agree the front two legs are may be a bit too thick...... but i want him very massif that's why i made the legs so thick...... but may be it's too ....
I'll check it for the next update
04-16-2005, 05:08 PM

Master Modeling update
04-22-2005, 06:56 PM
just a quick compo test
Et bien et bien ...
I am a bit suprised you've change your base concept , but don't take care , i will focus now on the new...hmmm..let me see... :hmm: ... nice concept too ,but i don't like the cat/lion shape, the proportions looks strange , and the modelling is a bit dispointing (i say that because you are used to do a lot better :) )
The woman looks a lot better , the legs, the head and arms are awsome, i think the chest and the torso need a bit more work , and the hand are a bit flat
Keep it up, hope that's help :bounce:
