So this is Lucifer. The hair is made in photoshop. I still have to make that in Lw.

So this is the basic of the devil. Like you see I make some changes. I did'nt liked the legs. So Now it has some real devil paws.

hey there wim... dude very fast yet great progress... good idea to have changed the legs, looked too large for that particular model.. although i'd still go with hoofs just scale them down..maybe in teh last row of edges extrue them in a little to give the detail of hoofs.. its too flat at then moment. other then that great basic model man.

Oh yeah man nice model. I like the muscles you got there, although the legs muscles look more like trousers to me, because the muscles look more like cloth folds. Nevertheless great work!

This is a first render of the devil. Like you can see,there is a strange surface of some parts of the body? And I dont now how it comes there. Does somebody nows a answer?

Detail on this model is very impressive, especially the face and hands. I like the new horns also, but perhaps they should not cover the face quite so much but be a bit further apart?

That's very good modelling man. I'm not sure about the highlight shader though, seems too wide and slick. Try adding a procedural noise to the bump at a very low scale.

Looking really good. I agree I suspect people want to see the detail in his face more, so moving the horns apart some will enhance it. Your modelling this in pose ? Or have you already rigged it ?

Here is the new render with the new horns. I change th specularity also looks less plastic I think

Looking good,

allthough the horns aren't as visible yet. You could try brightening them with a greyish colour, that way they still seem black.

Here's a tip on skinshading. Human skin is more reflective at lower angles, so polygons almost parallel to the camera direction should be a little reflectve whereas the polygons facing towards the camera could just do with radiosity and or standard effects. Try holding your hand in front ofyou with a screen behind(monitor/TV), and then face away from the scvreen and look again, no reflection this time.:wise:

Good work so far. Watch the lumpyness of the muscles though, a little rock like right now. Good progress. Like to see more.

Very nice stuff!

Maybe if you smoothed out the deltoids (muscles abouve the bicepts) and the chest top muscles a bit the face would come out even stronger. I really like the head design very much!

heel mooi maar uw spieren kloppen niet zo goed. bijvoorbeeld de borst spier aan de linkerkant van de tekenign moet oorsprong nemen aan het sleutelbeen en de scheiding tussen de deltoiden en de beiceps links kloppen ookk niet, lijkt alsof ie daar kleren aan heeft, wel heel goede voor de rest

Hoi Wim!

Real nice last update.
I like the smoother anatomy this brings the face out in this one :) .
In the side view the ribs might be angled a bit more so they look like they come out from the spine. You could put one foot flat on the ground with a raised thigh to make the pose more dynamic or spread the thighs a bit more but thats hard to say until the composition is a little further along.

It looks like veins are running through just under the skin (vascular system) which I really like alot, its one of my favorite effects!

Voor de rest, stevig op weg.. hopelijk zijde iets met de plug-inz..

Last n8 I changed the devils anatomie. But now I cant make a good Displ Map. I really dont now what I did wrong. can somebody help me out here?

Did you change the amount of vertices or replace any? It could be that the displ map is just going to the wrong UV's. Otherwise it also looks like some of your poly's have the normal pointing inwards. THat's why they're black. But I can't be sure, I don't use lightwave.

Good luck with that. I suggest posting on a application specific forum for this.

The demon sure looks fearsome. My feel is that he seems bit of "blobby" for my preference... but maybe that's the intentional look u want of him. Nice modeling work though :)

Kewl Lucifer! just don't burn the details with the intense light...

I think the clothes need more wrinkles, details and texture... But You're making a very nice diabolic job here!

If you need some tips about texturing and lightning, just go ahead and ask!

BTW, I agree on the amount of light.

Try to use area lights but be carefull with these As the tend to blow out the detail when set a high level. Fill up the darker spots with tiny spotlights or pointlights. Instead of using radiosity, try to think like radiosity and follow the lightbeams in your head! White light hits red devil, bounces red light in opposite angle to the white light. A bit like shooting pool.
