Hi everyone :) I thought a lot about my idea and something has bumped my brain at last.

**************

There's a fallen artist compeletly burned out with vein. He's ruled by a muse. In his mind she was giving him an inspiration but through the years of art fecundity suddenly she stops. Addicted to her poor artist is losing his mind.

I've started a modelling of a fountain that will be a part of a garden. It's a greek architecture so I'm gonna make some sculptures on it reflecting some stories about ancient Greece.

I'm starting to make my Master chick. She looks a bit athletic but hair, eyes, ears and then texture should fix the problem. I used a spline modeling to make it. I'm not really satisfied. I see she's bored with my creation but I'd like to give her a bit of emotions in a few days. For now I'm busy with other things so making her goes really slow.

I'm still workin' on the Master's head. I've changed a bit her face. After last corrections she reminds a female. Would like to make a malicious smile with nice fangs. ... must hurry up. I got a feeling that I'm late.

Nice head, but I think you should work on mesh topology more in the future.

You should put link to this thread in your signature, this make easier to find it.

Good luck

I agree with you ps.pl. This head doesn't satisfy me and I must work on it for a couple of hours to make it more real. Now it's looking unnaturally, cheeks and chin seem to be a bit edgy and exaggerated. Eyes look to big and ......... I look at her and see that she's not hot at all. I wouldn't date with that kind of woman ;) Yep, back to sculpting ...

The phenomenon of this forum is a possibility to veryfying artistic skills of each other. Following the comparison of my wips and all great mates here I've come to a conclusion that my earlier uptades are terrible. What's the point? I've made the head a bit better and placed it as a background character in my concept. I'll do my Master chick again.

This is a mesh of this corrected head and I'm uploading a render of it right in a few minutes.

I hope my english hasn't killed you. Best wishes to all.

And this update show us a rendered mesh covered with a stone texture. I'm gonna do the rest of her now.

Tell me what do you think of it? ... not much but the leave is coming so I'm gonna work on it all the time except sleeping.

By the way, it's a head of a sculpted demon that lives in my main character's (Servant) imagination. It's not a Master rather a background character, reflection of the artist's vein.

Next WIP, the same body. Thighs to fat, a bottom doesn't look tempting. No blade-bones and spine.

Nice body :)

It's very good!

I have just a little comment... if you would try to do the navel and to add more detail to the knees, it will look more realistic.

-I couldn't find out what's wrong with the woamns body, when I modeled it, and then I've seen a womans picture and it was clear. The knees :)

KryHoo
04-13-2005, 05:51 PM
Thanks Maja :) I agree with your opinion - the details have a great influence on a final rig. Some things could be done by textures but low quality of models can't be hidden from the light in a scene. I think I've chosen a wrong method of modeling or maybe should I buy ZBrush and try to use it.

Very original story I'd say. Like your modelling texturing. And yes, there stuff to fix on woman's anatomy. Check some anatomy books. Igot a link here somewhere here... where is it... oops. Grigorij -> thank you for the links. There's a lot of stuff to study a human anatomy. ... no more standing in front of a mirror to see every muscle. Really great sources.

Ha ha ha. I do the same thing with the mirror. And digital video camera too. Very funny to see myself runing in spetznaz poses with a toy gun.

And you don't right about 3ds Max. The software itself is very flexible and lets you do almost enything without plugins. I never use plugins. So, may be you could read some more manuals of this soft.

And don't sleep infront of your PC. It's gonna fry your brains.
Keep it up.

That body looks much better now. Just a little advice. Make a little bigger hips. They should be larger then shoulders.

I really, really like that face. Trying to do something similar, but I got stuck on character rigging.

Very good.

:)

KryHoo
04-18-2005, 12:56 AM
Grigorij -> Yes, you're right about the max. It's a great tool in right hands.

Maja -> thanks for the advice. The proportions aren't good as you said but I think I should make shoulders a bit smaller and leave hips as they are now. ... must check it out.

The sculpture of the demon almost finished. The head isn't connected yet but I wanted to see it on the neck. I'm gonna try to make some modifications with the model like adding some kind of the bat wings and turning its female shape into more demonic.

What do you think about it?

atra
04-22-2005, 10:29 PM
Yep.... but I would be very sorry to see those great shoulders changed .... I am a girl , you know, and I see that every day in the mirror. :D (the hips are the first thing men look at and recognize a woman) :)

BTW, I also made the same body shape ... you saw it in my WIP. But now it looks different already. :)

She is really pretty. I am curious how you are going to make it demonic. ;)

Hi mates :)

There's my character's pose. I hate boning very much. Maybe I'll change it a bit especially the head cause she might look at the snake. The animal is box modeled. I've put some texture on it but without any special effects, just a bitmap and base bump map.

I hope this picture isn't too scarry. Tell me if this went too far.

KryHoo
04-26-2005, 12:31 PM
I fugured it out. The sculpture could hold the snake with her left hand, ... you know in a self defense. Right shoulder won't be changed cause I'd like to show it as it is (Atra said it's great looking :)). The idea with holding the snake's head and face to face looking would be also great but the snake is the ruler and the sculpture feels to be shocked and helpless so that idea isn't good in this situation.

As I said she's a reflection of my Servant artist's creation devastated by a Muse wchich puts a spell on his vein.

Haha, well I think men are not so intelligent as you say, they regognize women by the most protruding part of the woman's body, ... I mean the breast. However I behave like that (I'm a man :)) ... so I'll watch your thread to see this similiar body shape of your model. Waiting for your update but now, ........... here it is, my wicked creation appears.

Hi KryHoo

very nice progress. 2 points i'm thinking of. the snake looks very heavy and his coming from her body destroying her wing must cause her unbearable pain. she can't stand like that with all the pain and fear. the second point is about the hole in her abdomen. i think it should be just as the snake thickness and even less, making somehow the feeling that the skin is stretched. hope it make sense and that i don't confuse you with my comment. keep it up:)

KryHoo
04-26-2005, 05:31 PM
That's right smaddl. Now she looks like - spread her arms and say: "oh, there you are, I'm looking for you for hours, dinner is ready!" :) compeletly no emotions in her movement ...... yep, back to changing parameters :]

The changed pose. I think it's better now. She'll be chained to some architectural thing, ... I don't know how to name it - monumental portal or something :)

I'm gonna do something else for a change now. I'll texture it later.

I missed something here!
:)
Yes, that composition looks better already.

I don't think that the face shows the pain. She looks like angry or screaming. What you need is terrible pain written in her face (I also need to do something similar.... I hope it will be good).

Mouth could be ok, but the eyes area has no expression. I'll wait to see the changes.

About the women... sure, when you meet the woman from the front.... but your eyes have already told you that she is a woman, because they have seen the hips... which are larger then by men (that assures that she will not die during the child birth.....)
We've done some experiments in my university. Some diodes were fixed on the head of men and pictures of some women were shown.

I couldn't imagine, but the computer draw where the eyes looked and the first point were the hips, by 96% of men :)
That's why I am so sure. The other 3% looked at hair and 1% at legs first. :)
One man looked at the face... and then he was embarrassed when other men asked him how his sexual life was :D

the second point where almost all of them looked were the breasts.
I guess that's something men cannot live without

Hi Maja

Your opinion is accurate. She was angry at first but she has evolved for pain and disgrace so I'll fix it soon. Now I must leave it and do some peace of servant. I saw your thread and see that you're one step ahead. That motivates me to work :)

Great university where you can admire women's beauty in the name of the science. I didn't really know what part of female's body mostly attracts. I could agree with the results of that experiment. I also like to turn my eyes onto the hips firstly but I must find out why does it happen like that?

By the way, I don't know If the beards are also so attractive but yours is great now, ...... [I mean your master's ....... :)]

atra
05-04-2005, 08:28 AM
That would be soooo nice, but I still have a lot to model, oh my, it looks endless :)

thanks for the beard.... I have to tweak it a little, but I like it already

Why does it happen... well, that comes from old times, when the people are at some more primitive level....
That also explains mens passion for cars or football, and why women are better at "multitasking" when doing something.....

I can open a new thred somewhere and explain it all.
I really enjoyed these lessons... and many people came from everywhere to listen to my professor. He's coooool :buttrock:

BTW, we also looked at the pictures of men... guess what we looked at first? ;)
