I'm using an HI-IK solver on my arm.
when i'm rotating my arm (from thumb pointing up to thumb down) my shoulder get a twist.
i used rotational limitations on the bones (the first bone of the arm is suppose to rotate much less then its child bones) but when I am using the swivel angle to rotate the arm, it seems like it's ignoring the limitations.
or maybe it is a problem with the skining?
or maybe with the model's wire?

can any1 help me with that?

or maybe link me to a site that i can download models with good skining and bones setup that i can use as a reference.

Shoulders are perhaps one of the most difficult parts to skin properly of a model... the solution is not as obvious as it may seem at first. A multi-bone approach is needed, as you thought, but the thing is that bones inside an IK chain cannot be controlled manually, since they are now under the control of the IK solver. I'm working on a multi-arm approach that seems to work (but don't know for sure yet... needs more testing). As soon as I'm entirely sure this approach works as expected, I'll be posting a tutorial on it. Cheers!!
