Latest Update: Line Art: second concept

Well, I abandoned the previous mirror image concept because I was afraid that all those characters a kid wanted to be embodied into one image might be a little too chaotic. So I just went with one theme, the Superhero, I think that this is a generic form of imagination that almost all boys have played out when they were young...

This is a very rough layout of the composition. The theme I am going with is to show that the right mind which controls logical thought have enslaved our left mind which envelopes our imagination. As most people grow up, their impulses to do anything they desire anywhere at anytime is suppressed by their logical thinking. Our need to conform, need to make a living need to grow up are all masters to our creativity and our innerchild. The piece shows a man in business attire getting ready for work, when looking in the mirror the image of his imagination (the left side of the brain) is shown in chains. Right now I am still playing with the look of the "innerchild".

it sounds like you've really put a lot of thought into this idea and it shows.
just wanted to point out that the image looks as if it has this warping effect going on. i think its due to the fact that you have your 2 perspective points too close together.
so far so good, friend. :) keep it up

This is a first run for a concept of the mirror image. I wanted an image that shows what most kids...well boys in this case, have imagined themselves as: a policeman, a robot, etc.

mm, i dont think i see this concept a policeman, a robot, etc working . in all seriousness, he looks really silly ahaha. what you previously had ( the man with chains around his neck) was much better and relates more towards your idea. in my opinion, i just dont see this concept working at all. try some other concepts though. :)

just wondering, are the super heros going to be reinterpretation of existing super heros, where the kids take their favoriet super hero and put themself in the costume or you intend to make a all new super hero?

well doremon, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to use existing heros like Batman or whatever. They're patented and.....well, i just don't know if i can use them, so I just made up one.
