hi gang...

interesting title isnt it:)...let me try to explain myself..

we are working on a cartoon, and we will prepare different shots of the mouth for speech, as u know every sound has its own mouth shape...

now...this cartoon will be turkish...and in turkish every letter has its own reading...(like philips...could be writen filips..but "p" has differnet readings, turkish doesnt work this way)

im wondering is there a way i can enter text, and afx can fetch the needed frame from the prepared sequence of mouth shapes.for ex. if i write "oooo" goto frame 32 if i write "t" goto frame 11...think u got the idea...

any solutions?

1 - create a 1 FPS (easier to handle ;) composition with all the mouth positions.
2 - create a new composition
3 - import the mouth composition in that new composition
4 - Create a text layer and add the texts you need in keyframes
5 - In the time remap property of the mouth composition, insert an expression like that :
if(thisComp.layer("name of the text layer").text.sourceText == "t") {
1 //the number of the frame in the mouth composition
}
if(thisComp.layer("name of the text layer").text.sourceText == "bou") {
4 //the number of the frame in the mouth composition
}

Just add all the text you need, it's gonna be a bit long to write the expression though.

I hope that's what you wanted ^^
