alberto86 03-24-2005, 11:57 AM Hi guys!
This are some renders of my last work... colors, backgrond and some materials are not the final one, I must work on its... probably I'll change completely the scene, adding some roses and petals...
Someone have some critics or comment for improve the scene?
Thanks! Bye!:)

Very cool. I just think that it looks too round mabye. But I dont see real ones very often, so don't take me too seriously. Also a little too reflective. Other than that, with a little better composition, it could be an awesome render.

looks good, but i must say frets are a bit oversized for this guitar, let's say they've been jumbo frets..maybe you should make them narrower...
keep up the good work!

I agree with the frets. Also the strings look as if they all have the same thickness. Apart from this, the guitar looks really good, should be even better with some nice reflections on the chrome parts.

Hello!
Good job so far, but I have a few ideas for you (I played several models of Ibanez guitars, which this seems to be a model of):
The headstock is too rounded in several places, esp. near the tip. You need a better chrome material for the tuning pegs and other chrome areas (the trem system, etc.).
The body's length seems exaggerated; the top-right of the body (where the strap connects) seems out toward the headstock too far. Of course, this is your original work, and maybe you want it that way:)
The reflections on the body in pic 4 look jagged and weird; check that. Also some corners on/around the Floyd Rose are very sharp.
The pickups need a little work; they look too "attached to the surface" instead of inside a cavity of the guitar body. The pickup material shouldn't be the same for the plastic frame around it.
And how about a name/original logo for the headstock? :buttrock:
Keep up the good work! This is on the way to becoming great.

Woah!! lot of replys!! thanks!
larocket83 - Yes, the tipical electric guitar is not so rounded, but I haven't copied any particular brand, because I don't want any restriction...:D However, I saw some catalogue of Ibanez guitar, and there are some new guitar like this...
TheAnarchitect \ wayfaerer \ YankeesFanHB - thanks for all the advice! I'll take in consideration all of them! in particular to YankeesFanHB! But I must say that I can't understand some words... Don't worry! I understend what have you said!
I posted an update, but I improved only some material...
Bye!

you have to work on the shader. the bodymaterial is not shiny. Try a layered shader or something, an put a fresnel effect on it, to get a (lackschicht, keine ahnung was das auf englisch heißt).

to be honest... like the details on your guitar... but I think the body is a bit too round... but that is only my opinion... don't know what kind of guitar did you use a reference

thanks tomaa for the reply! i don't use any reference guitar in particular, is just a guitar without brand... so it's intentionally if the body is too round...
some other comments??:)

The body and head of the guitar seem way to shiny. Maybe if you added some sort of turbulance to your specular channel.
And as stated by others parts of it seem too smooth.
