Hello, I've heard of the Matreme drivers improving playback speed in the viewports in Max 5, I realise they're optomised for use with Quadro cards, but would it improve any speed with my Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128MB card?

Oh and also I've got the latest Detonator driver installed and I'm using Win 2K, and I've heard some say this is not as good as the other Nvidia Drivers available on the website such as the Nvidia Driver Version: 30.82.

What's peoples take on this? And if I donwload the Driver Version: 30.82 can I just install it normally or will I need to uninstall the detonator driver first?

Thanks.
:D

Maxtreme only works on Quadros or on Geforces hacked into a Quadro, which can't be done to GF4. Check maxforums.org - there's a post in one of the tech threads that claims there are "modified" maxtreme drivers that would work on any geforce. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

For me maxtreme doesn't work in max 5, so I wouldn't even bother.
