The main idea was to create a very strong and big servant who would be able to fullfill any of his physically weaker master`s wishes.
So i decided to create a boy with mental powers that enable him to control a huge dragon.

i don't understand his face though

and... i don't know, don't you think it needs a little bit more drama?

maybe the hand getting closer to the eyes, with visible reflex of the master on his eyes and enhancing the ideia of size. even sparing you texture trouble

but that is my idea that may be bad

Thanks for your input! Some good points... I think your right, the facial expression is hard to read. He should look more calm and wise in a certain way.

Increasing the dramatical effect and the difference in size between the two characters is also a thing that has to be improved, but thats kinda difficult cause it has to be obvios that the dragon wont hurt the boy.

Worked a little on topology and proportions...looks more human now

Its really great seeing all the creativity in this challenge and the different modeling styles.
For me the most interesting w.i.p. are modeling milestones where you can see the mesh...so this time I posted a very early stage in my modeling process.

Now here is my almost finished masters head. Comments are welcome.

Looking good xioncajou :thumbsup:. The eyes look alive almost moist. I'd work a bit more on the specular map. Make it shine near the bones and less where there's more flesh. Right now the top lip looks like it's got a bit too much specular.

I'd mix in another color to the skin to break it's perfection. The skin would look better with a bump map. The edge of the lips could use some work. They seem a bit pinched at the moment, with a weird crease near the chin. It will be a nice entry once you work on some details :).

The head looks much more interesting and has a lot of personality now. Are you going to add detail to the face? (lips, eyelid folds, etc.?)

In your hand, is the thumb not a little too short?

Hi! This is a testcomposition...
as you can see most of the textures and the body of the dragon that will cover most of the background are missing.
I hope I can finish all textures in time.

The story:

16 jears before...
The emperor of the country is in search for warriors to enlargen his army. Every martial artist in his land has to work for him or is killed.
Almost every good fighter joins his army but a small group of Samurais tries to escape, one of them a pregnant women.
They don`t succeed and all of them are killed, all of them but the pregnant woman.
She hides in a temple and gives birth to her child.
Short time after, she dies because of her injuries.
Her newborn boy is alone in the temple, but he doesn`t cry.
He is calm, he is not a normal child. He is the chosen one. His name is Kenji.
The keeper of the temple, a 2000 jear old dragon takes care of him. The wise dragon knew that the boy would come there some day, because it`s his fate to defeat the emperor and rule the country.
Kenji, the chosen one can communicate with the dragon without speaking and even without words. Just by his mind.
Now the time has come to fight the forces of evil.

Im happy I finished everything in time, but now I have trouble uploading my final image to
the ftp. I uploaded it and it was shown on the ftp page, but when I now go there no files are
shown and the information page says that I havent uploaded my final image yet...

Is this normal? Can someone help?
