CG Architect 2005 Architectural Visualization Competition Challenge 1 is open for public voting!

Check it out! I was one of the competitors and used Cinema 4D for the rendering! All effects and modeling are via Cinema 4D 100% no post processing.

The object was to use about 15 pre-made geometric objects and compose an entirely new composition from these objects. You could not deform or change or add new objects. The only thing that could change is the proportions of the objects. Anyways, Cinema 4D is more than up to the challenge for rendering as I was very pleased with the results!

Look for Tyrone Marshall to see my entry!

Some very nice entries in there, including yours Contuumx. It's kind of ridiculous that they make you rank all 29 though. A top three or four would be more than adequate and probably garner more participation from voters. Personally I said F-it when I realized I had to rank all entries.

Better hope I don't say that.

I'm going to be doing the five or six catagory judging for each. But 29 is easy compared to the initial enties.

Or, to put it another way--I'm going to be judging the comp so why don't you? Participate!

Frankly I just don't have the time or patience to make a *thoughtful* determination of the rankings 1-29. At some point it becomes a bit of a toss up--like which should be 22 and which 23 as between the giant lego man and the brooding Tiki hut? And in retrospect, isn't the Tiki hut really better than [fill in the blank] at number 19? :)

As I said, it'd be much better if we only had to rank the top five, or at most the top ten.

Thanks Strat for the complement, I left the black background because I did not want a realistic sky background because the rest of the image was really a composition of the basic geometry pieces that created an illusion of some urban landscape when in actuality it was not. The black background in my opinion was another basic element just as the pieces were to help suggest an environment or night time scene.
