Hi DaddyMack,
I followed your process and I must say you worked very hard on your image.
For my opinion you make to much, but thats only my opinion.
At the end you create a great work with lots of details and a fine mood.
Hope to see you in the next challenge.

Hi guys... Time left: 0 days, 22 hours, 44 minutes, 26 seconds... I made it with plenty to spare...lol... I'm pretty happy with the overall look and feel of the image...Could always be better tho...I'll sleep on it;) Gotta say that as I went over it all tonight I started to realise that this image came out of me... wow... Thanks again all you guys,
My explanation will follow...

DaddyMack
05-18-2005, 02:06 PM
Hi all you mad folk out there in competition land :) I'll be back after I catch some zzzzs with a commitment to final...
The original breakdown i wrote for the image, prior to commencement can be found HERE (http://www.brainchilddigital.com/Master%20and%20Servant%20concept%20breakdown.doc)

The main jist of it went something like this..."I am attempting to communicate the relationship between a little girl-and the things she fears/ is driven by. In the image I’m creating it is hoped that upon first viewing the audience will interpret the girl as the master and then, as they study the scene, grasp that she is actually the servant of the creatures in her head…
I hope to convey a real sense of power yet helplessness in each individual in the image…that is my main challenge"

My current story for the image goes... "My Servant is a seemingly innocent little orphan named Cindy whose parents hated her and cruelly tormented her before they died in an ‘accident’ just over a year ago (their house mysteriously burnt down while Cindy wasn’t in it)…Well, as a result of listening to her subconscious demons (her masters), Cindy has just set fire to Bentwood, the orphanage where she spent her last few hellish months…We meet Cindy just as she is leaving Bentwood… She feels empowered to be taking control of her life again, in the only way that she and her demons know…by fire…she is on her way to ‘visit’ her grandma, who put her in the orphanage after her parents died…
It was consistentlya major goal with this image to initially ‘trick’ the viewer into thinking Cindy is ‘taking her demons for a walk’, and then realize that it is them driving her toward more evil deeds, within moments of viewing… It was my way of communicating the blurred line between a human as individual consciousness, and subconsciously driven actions..."

Pheyeww... Thanks... I'll Final in a few hours... Good night and thanks:bowdown::wavey:

Brilliant  Another strong narrative image in the challenge, packed with witty detail (makes me wish I did something like that too). If you've got time, maybe you could blur/smudge the smoke at the top left, & drop the saturation on the grass a little. Other than that- great!

makaron.. lol... and thanks Mak, you've consistently brightened this, and many other threads with your sunshine and heavily caffeinated humour, Humble, humble thanks

Me wipes a little tear away at the end of an era, but me walks away with some really fond memories, and what is by (reallyreally) far my most insane cg piece to date! Thanks to all you mental folk who've been along for this journey, you are all just as much to blame as me for this... let's do it again someday huh...

Horrible, horrible Black said all those bad things as you worked on this piece and didn't even show the courtesy to come and visit as it finalises! And after all those kind things you have said about me :wip:!!

Well if it makes you feel any better he had the punishment of having to read through all those new posts and felt bad for not being able to be there at the time.
Robert, so little left to say than what has already been said. Thank you for allowing us to take part in your joyfull journey and giving an ear to ou nagging all through out.

Good luck with your entry. And I wish for it to take you very far!

bealobo.. Many thanks Bea for all the support, creating this image has opened my eyes to my own potential in so many ways... I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity, and to have met all of you wonderful people... Looking forward to doing it all again;)

korayarts.. Thanks, it's been a great challenge...

BlackDidThis.. Well... What can I say my friend... Umm.. Don't be so hard on yourself springs to mind... Other than my reason for saying that, the feelings you have expressed are entirely mutual... I look forward to any and all future journeys with you, this process has been full of firsts for me, and I have grown immeasurably... as well as made invaluable new friends such as yourself... A solemn bow and many humble thanks to you BlackGoodSir... Your help and insight into my process has been most umm... helpful and insightful;) Also Thanks Berter for aiding me in my quest for modelling skills, not only have you guided me in that aspect of my learning, you have also added to my motivation to share that which I have learned with others seeking to learn... Priceless.. Cheers:beer:

My good GOOD man Robert...

I have JUST recently found out that the results were given out. And am sad to not have seen you at least to be mentioned of.

I know that you are already so satisfied with where you have inclined yourself to... and with this wonderful work that you can proudly present yourself to be the maker of.
You are a wonderful person with a lot of heart and a lot of talents that shall raise you to a state that your name shall send shivers down the bones of the other contestants very soon, if not to some already :)
So I hope to see you around these 'Gatherings' as often as you can. You give great pleasure to follow up onto... withyour works and your friendship!

All the best to you my good man; You are the best!

This is the end... Beautiful friend, the end... This is the end... my only friend, the end...

Aaaaah it's finally over... A huge shout out to you amazing winners for setting the bar where it stands today, I find myself truly inspired by your work... It's all gone into my 'torment self' folder... CONGRATULATIONS!

cjewell_01.. Thanks mate, see you for the next one ;)

alexfalchi.. Alex, thanks for all your support my friend... Let's do it again!

BlackDidThis.. Absolutely positively made my morning Black! I laughed out loud when I read your post my friend (at 5:30 am, quite an acievement!) I truly appreciate your kind thoughts and assure you that that which you express which is thoroughly mutual, it's been an exceptional experience and it is an absolute pleasure to count you among the closest of my imaginary friends... I gotta say that I'm particularly taken by 'your name shall send shivers down the bones of the other contestants very soon' Funniest thing I've read in ages my friend, thanks... Much respect due! See you soon...
