Great challenge topic.

This is the main idea i will focus on.
A big man and his "wife" ... i need
to think a littlebit more about this idea.

Yeah classic but the idea can be improved, actually in the sketch the wife looks like a doll, maybe you could find other interpretation and customize this idea.

It's a fat and not very clean guy living in his rooms with his rubberdoll(s?).

The Idea behind this is that a lot of people building their own world in their mind.
No need to communicate, to go outside and meet real people ... it's a generation
of fast foot, game consoles and internet Junkies. :argh:

They are alone and "happy" in their own worlds ... reality is going by ... year after year.

Need your help ... i got another idea for the environment.
It's a large mountain of thrash he will sit on like a king.

I need to decide if the environment will be the living room or the
thrash mountain. Maybe it is possible to combine both ideas.

My goal is to show the background story a littlebit more with this environment.
How TV commercials, online shopping, being able to order fast food online
and online dating will influence our future or has already influenced
our nowdays life. How will be the future of our childs or even some more
generations ahead?

Will they go out and meet friends in real life? Or will they be like the man
i have in my mind for this challenge? No real girlfriend ... alone ... and will
they be happy in their world of fast food, videogames and tv?

Ok not a very original background ... but the first idea that came into my mind
while first reading the Topic of the challenge. :banghead: :)

I would say, combine them. If you make the room a little bit smaller it will be more easy to really fill it up with trash + indoor lightning is probably the better choice for this scene. (It will still be hard because it is so-much-modeling to make a pile of trash). I can really imagine him sitting on a trash-throne build from pizza-boxes, beer cans, old magazines etc. Don’t forget the phone close by to order all that stuff. Good luck !

I have to agree with Stiegh here on the part about getting the room a bit smaller. In adiition, the bigger your room, and farther your figures; the more of the detail you worked so hard on would be lost from site.

I am not too sure about the MOUND bit though. It would pull your cool concept to a bit more 'kitch' area to my personal opinion.

On the contrary, I would say send piles of pizza boxes (Sloppily emptied ones ofcourse), cans, magazynes and simiallar all around the room. Showing care to keep the distance betxween him and the TV cleaner some what. Where you can begin to sort of think of him as the king of the little area. And All left out is not of his concern.

Also I would say go through a selection of the junk.. Thigs like magazynes he would probably keep closer by.. Pizza boxes would be even thrown way behind the television. or I don't know an empty set of can's again far off. But a six-pack mound closer to him.. Kind of in the spirit for him to not have to get up and fetchanything he would be in use of still.

What I am trying to go for is kind of to keep him from just posing on a mond of his own filth.. but to be actually 'caught in action' How ou do your work is your choice. So far you HAVE done great.. can't wait to see the final version of it.

I kinda imagined a room full of crap rather than a mountain of it. maybe a big pile of rubbish all around but just a slightly less cluttered area leading away to the kitchen, toilet, where ever. I can picture something that I've seen in a film but I can't think of what film it was.......damn, if I remember I'll let you know.

Good idea about the trash... why not making him sitted on this chair and you put a trash near him..this trash could be really overflowing...so youcan put many things on the ground...

Some other ideas could be the computer (with naked girl on the screen or anything related to his kind of life..), the toilet or the kitchen (as mentioned biliousfrog)... well it's just little ideas, your scene inspire me, it's a really cool idea (yes again :) )
