Holy crap dude where did you find the time to do all this work! I'm struggling to finish a couple of characters and you've gone and made an army.

Nice blades. IMO the top saber looks better, and is the more authentic design I believe.

Good work:beer:

I just KNEW it!!
I stay away for only a day and I see miles of hard work with you.. when I stay away as long as this many days it was definate to have to spend an hour looking through!!
Levent; your work is progressing VERY impressively! When a guy odes it a guy does it eh? Your hard work is really starting to pay off! Good Luck!

As much as I REALLY liked the last compocited post for the atmosphere.. I liked the nebula ora in post#280 (http://www.cgtalk.com/showpost.php?p=2266778&postcount=280) as well. You are reight.. it sure needs an atmosphere...
But as I recall from your composition sketches you had the BG literally covered up with towering figures didn't you?

mm in any case.. you are not allowed to call me Mr. tutorial any more! :) You have ddefinately beaten me to it! Buyuksun baba!

GUNILLA; ACE4016, VIRTUOSO, PIERRE BIXQUERT, LEHO many many thanks for your continous support,..

EKARADEMIR thanx again. You are marvellous supporter. If I could help somebody somehow that would make me so happy. (Teşekkürler dostum, sağol.)

Ok, guys. I think soon I may deploy all the players into the scene.

lookin great kuzgunoglu .. it's fun seeing the pieces come together ... lookin to be quite a massive and heavy scene , full of great detail ...

as far as wanting to help , i think you do .. just even posting and showing attention to others lets them know there is someone that is watching and interested in their work... and your opinions about things are as good as anyone elses ... nobody needs a degree to say something meaningful ... don't short guess your value to others

i'll be lookin for this thing to grow even more  .. fun stuff

I added smoke and shading effects and multiplied them with photoshop. Noticed that the word at the tip of the lance should be reversed. Shot was taken just before the queen crown was added

Crown added. Clothes more realistic with the -additional handmade shadows-. Some more..
I think that is the final for this project. That seems enough for scene to represent the >master and servant< idea for me.

Infact I imagined many concepts but this was the most remarkable one amongst the others. It gives a feeling of some kind of a tragedy, owned by one -spendable pawn-. Having the pressure of plastic world's plastic causes' plastic deaths. Having orders from all around; different masters, different ranks, different purposes... Hard to tell but easy to understand I think. Feeling of being a spendable one maybe one of the worst feelings ever experienced.

I tried to reflect the moment of defiance. I hope it is ok.
I wish the best for all.
Let the best wins.

Thanks a lot for the good comments and compliments. I am glad that people like the scene.

Here I want to add a warning about a lesson a had from the image submission process:

"Never wait the last day's last moments near the deadline to send something. That may be disastrous and there is a possibility to miss the submissions. If you have an image what is about to complete (or already completed but needs some extra additions),forget about these additions which could be done at the last moments. Just send it hours or days before deadline."

Woow I have missed out on a LOT here!

I was still under the impression of the earlier sketch composition lay out to be used (Even though you had mentioned earlier to me that things were going to change)... but this now looks so much more discriptive and screams out so many more messages!
Levent you have done a fantastic job here.
Entries such as yours are proving to me that my desicion on stepping down from the 3D competition was a very good idea! I wish you the best of luck with your work. It has a very dence compilation of messages. And I hope only the best to find it in it's journey from here...

kuzgunoglu,

Your art is very creative and I like very much the final surrealist composition. Your work becames more interesting when we see your w.i.p. and all the changes and new characters that were added into the scene.

The mood you created, hard lights with the chaotic composition, turned the scene suffocating and silently hopeless.

Congratulations!:scream:

kuzgunoglu,

Show off. :buttrock:

The attitude you've instilled in each character is exceptional. The king is depicted well as the most humongous sod of all the pieces, able to do little, except hide behind a podium and demad sacrifices.

The floundering pawn on the left is whimsical, yet tragic. A fine contrast you have there, sir!

Chess should change its rules. The king piece should be allowed one atom bomb per game. If things get to tight, he is allowed to irridiate the board, and be the lone survivor in a nuclear wasteland.

Course, chess might loose it's appeal then.

Also, I think these challenges are setup to make sure everyone submits their entires at the last minute. It keeps the forums active for months on end.

If everyone finished early, members might try something cheeky, like go outside and chase butterflies or some such shenanigan.

In any event, you fought off the last minute gremlins, and produced a top quality work.

Also, thanks for the generous comment on my really dreadful slop wad. Though I wish I could kick it in the teeth, and make it go down a hole.

Hope to see another entry from you in the next Challenge. :p
