.:rolleyes: I need to know how would i link my ik bones to my mesh ...so that the mesh makes the moves or do the animation?
I know that there should be something in max that i need to do to link my bones to the mesh.

What is the best way to animate a hi poly charachter...like walking or jumping?

you should use the skin modifier to attach a mesh to bones. you will probably want to open up the help file and read up on skin.

Large part of a the tutorial manual is dedicated to skinning and character stuff in general.
