View Full Version : Old Dragon Drawing...
DOOMNINJA 09-24-2002, 06:13 PM Hey, looky what ive found. I knew i scanned this thing in at one point, but i wasent sure where the file was. Turns out it was on my other computer, and i found it while browseing my network of DOOM and so forth. Anyway, did this, close to about 2 years ago, rendered in pencil. Not much to say, other than, uh.. its very, kinda.. well.. dragon.. ish.. yeah. Kinda lost some detail durring compression, but what doesnt? Actually, if anyone knows of any compression software or anything thats all compression-without-loseing-image-quality-like, by all means, drop me a line.
Anywho, questions, comments?

Of course this would be a broken, segmented beyond all recognition thread if i dident post the SAME image, but DARKER, so people could argue and throw stones about which one is better/worse/why they should both by burnt/AHH monkey!

wow man, compression is really hurting your fantastic drawing. Since it's black and white, why not try saving it as a .gif ?
Anywho, questions, comments?
Ok, an interview-like question then, Cool design (->hairy) there, how did you come up with it? What got you inspired?
Aouch :D compression sucks
but the dragon looks really really cool.

Hmm, ill check into that .GIF buisness, thank you for complying to my plee for better compresion suggestions! :bounce:
As far as inspiration goes, theres one thing you must relize about myself in particular. I've been drawing dragons since i was 4. I liked to research them, write about them, draw, animate, watch, and of course, play them in videogames. So when the question arises pretaining to my insperation of a particular art work that contains an ounce, gram or small part of dragon, all i can really say is hey, the chicken fingers are done. No really they are, im gona go have supper now, toodle OOU!

-I really like this furry neck and head treatment..not something I've seen before (but I no dragon expert) Maybe you'll get the compression figured out so we can see it a bit better.
