View Full Version : UVW Unwrap
marko-p 09-24-2002, 02:22 PM Does anyone know of a solution similer to that of UVWunwrap since Autodesk Viz 3i doesn't have that facility and i haven't found a way around it.
What i want to do is put seams on a chair fabric which is impossible using the standard Planer,Cylinder ect.....
Any help would be greatly appricated :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

you can do this with planar, you will just have quite a few pieces, basically just have your seams run down where 2 planar maps meet, draw a solid coloured line on both edges and make some detail like stitches etc on one or both of the textures.

Thanks fo the suggestion but the stitching is not that simple !
The seam has to run round the shape and i do feel that if i could flatten the model and paint the stitching on that would be most ideal.
Since my first message i have found a program called Texporter with does a similar thing to the UVWunwrap command.
Although i need to practice with it because its not working quite as i want it yet !
