Hi,
perhaps i`m crazy, tired and need some vacations but....

try this in maya 4.5 :

create 2 cubes, scale and move the second one a little bit in order to differentiate the two cubes parent the second cube to the first one, make visible the local rotation axis for the first cube, rotate the first cube... now, look at this strange thing... try to move the child (pcube2) in local mode with the manipulator... the manipulator is not aligned on pcube1 :thumbsdow !!!!! the only way to move in local mode, is with the channelBox with the option Invisible manips !!!!

i join a grabbing of my screen with on the left side Maya 4.0.2 and at the right side Maya 4.5...with the same scene...

please try this and say me i`m not crazy... euh no, please say me i`m crazy and there is no bug...

Olivier.

well, as far as mine goes, I don't seem to have that problem. I'm running the Beta version, but I tried what you wrote, and didn't seem to have any problems with anything. Sleep deprevation will make you see some crazy things man. There is only one cure for that.... More coffee!!!

why don't you report the bug to a/w support so it can get fixed.

Im running a legal copy of 4.5(not beta) and I went thru your directions several times. I dont see it at all. You might need to reinstall. If it keeps up , report it to Alias.

So is there any fix to this yet? It seems to effect the manipulator in World mode sometimes too...or maybe I'm just freaking out.
