lol, I didn't even have to read the caption underneath to know what was going on. Great concept, I hope the whole "hiding from with before she takes my paycheck" won't be too hard to get across.

Funny Concept Miguel! You should put a saucepan in the wife's hand and maybe a calendar hangin on the wall showing a red circle around the payday :D

Hooch
03-27-2005, 10:13 PM
Yeah, I was thinking about Saucepan too! :scream:
but since she's gonna be such a big and mean wife (the Master)
she doesn't need that to get what she's looking for... hehehehe
anyway good old George (the servant)
He's not actually hiding you know, he knows pretty well where his Paycheck would end up...
I know my Sketch doesn't show much details but it's just the very basic idea.

I can tell you my friend that the big roll here it's gonna be the "expression" in the models,
that's what I'm betting on this one!

The idea of the calendar it's a good one though! May be I'll use it.

Well,this my new concept.
not that I didn't like the old one
but I just couldn't resist to model a huge beast and his master...

This is a very quick Sketch with some color on it, time is running out!

it is a nice concept, but here is my suggestion, dont take me wrong, but there are too many big beast small master works, i mean ths as a friendly advice, put your self in the judges place when the contest ends, see what i mean. think it through,be original. i still like ur concept, it can translate nto 3d wery good:thumbsup:

I know what you mean my friend, and I do agree with you in a way,
the thing is that none of my friends liked the old concept but one.
I was modeling the first Character when it hit me!
I found myself without the inspiration to keep working on that idea.
the harm was done! :scream:
and that's the reason why I changed my concept.
anyway, I do appreciate your words and thank you for taking the
time to write your point of view. :)

Well, as you can see in my ugly Sketch,
the Master face is not gonna be as important as the beast itself, so I'm not gonna work that much on the ears

DaddyMack
04-02-2005, 07:41 PM
Hi again Hooch, have to say that your old concept had more appeal to me but I wholeheartedly respect your decision toward a concept that will hold your interest for the duration of the comp...I went through concept after concept for a week before coming up with my 'Cindy' idea, and only went with it because it met my personal criteria.
The boy's head is off to a great start, that's some good clean modelling you got there:thumbsup:
I'm really looking forward to seeing a mental beast come out of this thread mate, good luck!

Hooch
04-02-2005, 11:00 PM
DaddyMack: I had to do it man, it was useless to keep working without the inspiration....

Not to mention the fact this is an outdoor scene!, you know, some how is more challenge and fun to model nature than furniture... :scream:

Gepass: Thanks dude, but where is your concept man?? there's no much time! :bounce:

Hi Miguel,

Good lookin' mesh. maybe eyes are a bit close to each other, but it's up to your taste. You should better follow the anatomical forms. I mean directions of the polys and edges should be more accurate on the body. So keep it up this workflow! Good luck mate!

Well done thus far Miguel.......I like the modeling......my take or suggestion for you would be to open the eyes up more......Create a larger area around the eyes and than make the eye's themselves even larger.....It feels to me you need to create larger eyes for this character.....I think that large expressive eyes could go a long way for this character....Just thinking out loud really.....but got to let you know....I'll be looking in for your progress as you move along......

At this point just testing the Hood,
that's the name in english right?
if anyone know the real name for that thing Plz. let me know ;)
no textures or shaders so far.

Hood it is.... ..........Any thoughts on the larger eye area and eyes themselves Miguel?Somehow i just see this character with extra large expressive eyes......Taste thing I quess.....Nice job on the "Hood" by the way....Keep it going.........
