Allright, here is how it is gonna go down:
I am not sure if i am going to start from the earth launch, I might just have the components of the "base" arrange themselves in LEO, docking with a kicker engine and blasting toward the moon.
Now, the actual landing is going to be interesting. Apollo style "rocket chair" /skycrane seems to be the best option here. however, i might entertain an Orion style landing for a large base component... Anyway, here is the skycrane i did for my MSR project, i might base my main lander off of this:
