I'm pretty close to being done with the main meshes. I really hope I am able to finish this before the deadline. Due to time constraints because of work I will definitely have to scale back on scenery. The human's head doesn't have the resolution it needs to put a face on it. If time allows I need to redo the head as a separate mesh from the body. Otherwise I will have to add in post.

I decided to go with the classic relationship between man and other animals.
I'm hoping to create a warm, Victorian-esque setting. These are rich, stodgy, aristocratic felines posing with their pure-bred pets in their favorite study.
I want to portray the pets as being very well trained and obedient. The larger human is sitting back on his shins, a very submissive position. The smaller human in the female feline's lap is curled up in a fetal position...which suggest feebleness and helplesness.

Not sure why...but the above posted twice and I couldn't delete the 2nd (this) post.

Hey that's going to look really cool. I can't wait to see some peoples concepts completed.

Don't worry about the double post thing. The first post alway changes to show everyone the last image you submitted. It just makes it easier to browse and see how everyone is progressing.

Good luck - I'm going to be nice to my cats tonight!

Oooh. I dig Victorian style. Should be fun modelling ornate furniture pieces. I'll keep an eye for updates.

Good luck.

Yet another 5D'er. Hello, hello. And a wings-mate. I wish you good luck, from what I see you're doing pretty well!

Man, the real world sucks sometimes! I finally got a chance to work on my entry so I decided to start on the meshes for the main cat and human. This is the initial ziff volume for the human. Once converted to a mesh I'll push the polys around into the correct pose.

This is the initial ziff volume for the cat. Since he's wearing a suit I don't think I'll need quite as much resolution as the human.

Just a small update on the human pet. Hands and forearms really need some work. Obviously the face as well. I haven\\\'t decided what I will do for hair...hmm, shall he have a silly \\\"poodle\\\" groom or just a regular coif of hair? Perhaps none? Maybe the \\\"in\\\" thing to do with your pet human is to shave them completely hairless.
