hello all,

this may be a bit silly but i'm really stuck with this:

I'm running C4d on a powerbook G4. and I REALLY like the hyperNURBS weighting feature. silly thing is however I cant use it interactively. That is, dragging my mouse/wacom pen while pressing . + CTRL, since I have only 1 CTRL key which is on the far left of the keyboard and the . is on the far right!
And no: my fingers can't spread that far out (small hands). And my right hand is still occupied holding the mouse/wacom pen.

<sigh>

Silly isn't it...?

So I haven't found a way to re-assign those keys in the command manager. Tips anyone?

you don't need the "ctrl"-key, only the "."-key to weight HNs. or is this a wacom thing?
(btw i am using a PB as well...)

well, there is a difference when using . + drag or . + CTRL-drag, says so in the manual :-) and now that I'm fiddeling around with it again, my . + SHIFT-drag doens't seem to do what it should as according to the manual. It works the same with both my wacom and my mouse (or rather, doesn't work).

oooops... i stand corrected.
i should finally RTFM. never heard about the "crtl"+"shift" modi before...

well in this case it might be best for you to assign a second key to the hypernubs-weighting feature in the command manager.

just go to "all command" > "Weight HyperNURBS" and assign you key.

update:
i assigned the "<"-key as the second key. and it works like a charm (even together with "crtl"+"shift").

cheers

thanx! I also read that an update to R8.1 might also work out. guess I'll try both :-)
