Meshtools 3 is included on the second CD of Max 5.

Most of the Meshtools functions which are not already included in Max5 will still work, but sadly not all of them will. Erase vertex, for instance, will fail due to changes in the way EPoly is implemented in the new release. Please note that Laszlo (the author of Meshtools) is working on Meshtools 3 for Max5, an early version of which can be found on one of the Max5 CDs.

well simply enaugh select the vertex and hit backspace!
if you want one of the edges to remain simply delete the other edges around and then remove the vertex

Most features are covered by meshtools 3 as mentioned, and some have been directly implemented into max seperate from the meshtools set. As far as removing vertices, you could also just select and click the remove button.

Am I the only one who likes icons and hates rectangles with words in them? That you have to scroll through? With separate popup windows with a bunch of numbers?
