View Full Version : any difference? 3dsmax on WinXP home VS WinXP Pro

Hello people. :-)

Does anybody know the difference between running 3dsmax under Windows XP Pro and Home? Right now I'm running Windows 2000 pro and it's fine but I have to upgrade to windows XP for other reasons. I already have a disk of win xp home that came with my dell, so I was wondering if that will be fine to run 3dsmax on. (trying to avoid bying windows xp pro) Is there really a difference?

Unless you have a dual processor machine (real dual procs, not Hyperthreading) from Dell (I don't think they make any), I really can't think of anything different between the Pro and Home that wil effect you for Max.
