View Full Version : Small vehicle with Normalmaps

Hi All..

Last time I'm working with normal maps and trying to do some good results with this tehnique
here is my test
It's veihicle for some independet project , game has fare TPP camera (close view like in RTS)
High polly model have about 300 000 tris and low 1672 tris
There is normalmap , diffuse map and specular map 512x512
everythink transfered by ORB

the High polly have too many faces but this is the best way to have good quality normalmap

this is great! i'd love to see an environment thats normalmapped to go with it:)
I am not sure about the tire treads though, but overall, amazing job. top notch:)

there gonna be outside hostile enviroments with lot's of enemys

I have posted this thread show results of transfering whole maps - normalmaps , color and specular . Because all of them are made only on the high resolution model.
I wonder if it's good way.
Only other UV's are made for lowpolly model.

If there is going to be rough enviorment, there should be bigger,and rougher offread tires, the profile on these tires simply wont cut it

Nice vehicle, Agrail, great work, I think You've shown concept of this one some time ago on forum3d, but I'm not sure. Could You show bigger picture of lowpoly object with only normalmap applied? Thanks!
