View Full Version : Problems with importing text from illustrator...

I create some type in illustrator 8.
Then create outlines.
Save it...
Go to LW
Import .ai file that I just created.
If I select auto drill nothing even imports.
If I don't select auto drill it comes in without the text being auto drilled.
EPS files don't import at all.
Any suggestions????

Not sure what the suggestion would be for the .ai file.

However, rumour has it that the EPS importer/exporter is broke in 8.2. I haven't been able to import any eps file since the update so I will tend to agree with the others who have reported the problem.

Try saving the file as an Illustrator version 7 file (or earlier). Also, try saving the object as both an EPS and a native Illustrator file.
