View Full Version : blendshapes order and workflow

Hey there, i'm currently working on my creature rigging, adding corrective blendshapes to emphasize certain poses, and doing blendshapes for the facial expressions.
My creature consists of two parts with each its own skincluster node.

I intend to make about 20 to 40 targets for the facial (on the first skincluster) and about 3 poses on x,y,z axis for biceps and 1 pose for the knees (on the second skincluster), based on set driven key.

I read a lot of links in the archives and my questions are:
About the face, always referencing to the base mesh for the duplication, can I rotate the jaw joint to model some extreme poses (if the face is not affected by any blendshape at duplication time ??) or should it be in rest pose (bindpose) whatsoever.

Another question, I have to set parallel mode for the arm blendshapes nodes on each 3 axis, but will it still be evaluated correctly with the skincluster (like in "a front of chain mode" ?)
