I read this on gamespy, very interesting:

A bit offtopic i guess, but what do you guys think about this?

Could this impact that jobs for future game devs?

I dont think it would be widely used in many games, but it could be tweaked and implemented into alot, atleast the main concept to lower devteam sizes in future games. For example a deathmatch fps, the devteam makes the base build and then the community uses the tools to make maps players and weapons. RPGs could be pretty interesting with this as well, making enemys and npcs, villiages, etc etc. Plus i could see this giving consoles a boost to help them take out pcs in the future atleast gaming wise (ima pc fan).

If this was just some random guys idea i wouldnt worry but the brains behind it definatly make it alot more believable.

Cant wait to play that game though or a game like it ^_^

i am VERY excited about it - not just the implications for new methods of content and resource creation but just the fact that it's something NEW! I can't wait to find out more...
