Does anyone know how to delete a character from a MB scene?

I had a scene with two characters in it. I had to delete one of them out and it's crazy, I had to delete out the character in characters, the control rig in control rigs, then in the scene it has a reference and all the bones. I had to delete each bone one at a time! That's nuts! There's got to be a one click and delete a character out someshere right? Please?

In the navigator window right click on the character you want to delete, choose 'select branches', you'll see it's character and control rig etc. get selected, right click and delete, click ok. Pages 46, 47 in the manual.
