No, don't try 7, stick with 5!

Hmmm. I can't tell you which version to use, but, like so many others, I do prefer version 5.5 over later versions.

As for the drawings, I like 'em. The first one looks a little asymmetrical, though.

Hey,

Not sure what photoshop 7 is going to do. The software is a tool, the talent is in the hand not mater what application.

I really like what is going on in the face but the hair is really feeling stuck on. Almost like those crazy wig things you get at Costume Stores!! I think there needs to be lots more depth and definition in the hair like you have in the face. They will then feel more like the one drawing.

I really like pose in the second one, the tilt in the head makes is more intersting where as the first one just feels like a school/passport photo to me(and hey, we never look good in them!)

Thanks for all the comment.
I preffer Photoshop 5 or 5.5, version 6 is complicated, the interface.
I like the effect of oil and acrylic, so I try to simulate it with photoshop. here is another try :

Hmmm, I suppose this is the same person, but in this picture, the grey tones and deeper shadows make her look thirty to forty years older!

You really think so? personally, I think the way the brushes are organized in PS7 is absolutely horrible...
