hehe, still WIP ;) When I have finished the bodypaint part (want to make probably a zombie outa this guy) and added shave hair I will finish the tut asap.
The tut will consist in the first part of a lotta pictures with explanations (pdf). The second modeling part will be videos with some explanations. The Bodypaint part will be the hardest part to explain. Gotta see how Ill do that. Shave will be simple :)
A bita patience please :)

This head is modelled with R8, but it is definetly no problem to do this tutorial with R7 though you will need 1 or two free! plugins to do it. You will only see that with R8 Edge Tools it is now really comfortable to model this head.
For Bodypaint and Shave wonīt change as far as I know, these parts wonīt have no difference to the current versions.

lookin' pretty cool!!
but two things that i don't like much. first are the eyes, somehow i would prefer the "normal eyes and on the other hand there are some strange artifacts on the side of his head-right in the hair. dunno what that is.:hmm:
ps: you gotta make use of chanlum on the skin texture and i'd suggest to decrease the grain amount overall in the image. ;)

You did a really good job on the texturing!
However, even though it fits the scraggy-ness of the character, I think there should be more harmony with the way the hair flows. In addition, you may want to try to make it flow to the side, and then back over the ear. The way the hair is right now seems like you randomly positioned it.
Don't get me wrong, I know this is really hard, and S&H isn't a really friendly proggie, but in the end it's always worth it... I think.
Anywho... keep it up! Tutorials are hard to write!

Hi,
I'm also looking forward to your tutorials finished, specially BodyPaint and Shave.
BTW, at your site, I found my old plugins in your Pluginmanager's picture. Those were developed soon after R6 was released. My old friends, in particular Petit-Morph and Autosynch. But I myself don't use now CineMarker, which may be, though, the first plugin that can play any selected part of a sound file.
cheers:)

Thanks, Kaiskai. Yes, some parts of pages have been translated into English (but somewhat broken...somewhat?). Plugins in the table are surely all made with COFFEE.
I'll add small notes about mac/pc and language to the table, flingster. All are usable in 'English', because I always use English version of C4D.
Sorry Samir, the subject in this thread may be interrupted.:hmm:

Hi Hiroshi,
no problem. Yes, got your plugins always by my side :) Especially Petit-Morph was cool. Keep on pluging! ;)
Best
