View Full Version : Need turtorial DVD/Book recommdation for texture painting and UV mapping

hey guys I'm just wondering what are some good turtorial dvd/book out there that teaches you how to do texture painting and uv mapping? I can modeling no problem, but when it comes to painting texture or uv mapping, I can suck.

any help would be grealty appreciated

btw if it's best if it also explains bump map and normal map that would be a plus.

Take a look at 3D Texture Workshop: Painting Hollywood Creature Textures Volume One by Bill Fleming. It explains step by step how to paint skin for a creature. I read about it in 3d World, there was a tutorial about it and it seemed quite good. I think he also explains how to make a bump map. The only downside to it is that the whole book only covers how to paint skin for one creature.
