I like the amount of movement; it is easy to imagine the troll rapidly, forcefully charging through the forest and the young girl bouncing around with no control, yet she is totally comfortable and used to this. Well painted, especially considering the time you stated. Well done.

Very nice picture. It's dynamic and beautiful :). I also like the contrast of the 'sweet' girl and the almost scary monster. The picture combines force with tenderness in a magnificent way.

You did a great job of 'capturing the moment'....my only crit is where the left hand meets the rock...it doesn't seem to have the same sense of interaction that right hand does. I realize the weight of the creature in on the right hand, but the left just doesn't seem prepared to receive the weight of the momentum. Perhaps just some subtle shading on the rock near the fingers might help..or some subtle cracks in the rock.

I always like pieces wich show a contradiction at first sight , it gives the beastly creature some more depth and makes people wonder ...it also dous the nookie with conventional ideas of good and bad , beautiful and ugly ect...

Great job on the rendering, but I have a few crits for the piece overall. 1. for me the idea of motion in your piece gets lost with both of the hands planted. I would try and have one planted and the other about to be planted. when doing a kind of animal type run it is good to reference video of animals, maybe look at an animation book or two. 2. The lighting needs a bit more work, the girl doesn't seem to match the rest of the piece in terms of lights and darks. Also the monsters arm seems to flatten out when it is totally stretched out in front. But then this is all just my opinion. its a great start, awesome work.

i love this image, i love the concept of the child with moster/troll, shows that the troll has feelings and emotions, great. Stunning execution, love all the details in the trolls face, and you have really captured the esence of summer. Maybe the girls face could be a touch sharper, but that is being picky. mind blowing :scream:

I believe someone has pointed out that the hand of the monster doesn't seem to land naturally on the rock. If the arm could bend slightly more it might create a more natural feeling. Everything else looks vivid and in motion~

Sometimes people don't go for total realism though, in fact sometimes not wanting it. Just a thought with respect.

I must admit that at the first moment it seemed to me near to a parody of an Enayla piece, a girl in a forest on a cat...well it's the frenzy interpretation of the same concept.
I really adore the troll/beast :D
