This is a piece I did for an invitation for a birthday party of the boss of a studio I worked for.

The painting bit is done in painter classic and photoshop 5.5
Had a photo as reference.

Hope you like it

no replys ?

i dont particully like its, but i can see you have talent, all you really have to do is put ur hand over the bubble, and pretend its a speedpaint an it looks quite nice.

my 2 aussie cents

112 views and the single reply says, he doesn't like it.

:annoyed:

speedpaint? Is it that bad?

edit: left the bubbles away, they where really bad.

It's not bad at all. The subject matter is a little cheesy, but you knew that already, most likely:D
I just noticed that you got rid of the bubbles, which was a good move, though the area around him looks a little empty now.
The distorted perspective adds a nice bit of interest. Over all, it looks really good:thumbsup:

Ah! Well, I changed the topic to a more accurate one. After all, he IS an idiot, because I never got paid for this.

I worked in his studio once. After some weeks, a friend of mine who works for him came to me and asked me to do the title of a little brochure printed for the birthday/retirement party of his boss. "Sure" I said and spent a day painting his face and doing silly bubbles. The brochure was printed and the party held.
We never got invitations (rich people only) and we never saw some money (that's why they're rich). He even never said Thank you or something. They still owe me money... :hmm:

bibi, i think u missunderstood me, it dosnt please my eye, but its still good, i dont know wat i dont like about it, most likely the bubble, but the portrait is good, as i said, just cover the ubbles withs ur hands.

and the speedpaint wasnt a putdown, go look thru the speedpaints, some really nice stuff.

edit: just noticed also you changed it, looks alot better, but yer sorta empty now, slap on 2 shades of blue, then use just add water (if ur using painter) and just smudge it around maybe, give him the rest of his shoulders.

sorry to hear about not getting paid. god i hate rich stingy bastages

Maybe cheezy bibi5000, but it is still very good, even if the guy was a jerk. You did great work here. Be proud of it. I am still practicing with Painter and can only hope to reach this level one day. Good work nonetheless!
