Hey,

I am working on a 3D short for a final year project. Aside from myself there are two other students working with me. Any feedback would be great. As you can see we are being rather ambious so most likely things will get toned down.

A quick run down of the story for those who can't be bothered reading the whole thing below is:

A outcast tomato try's to find where he belongs by going to nightclub (a flyer for this club fell from the sky and he takes it as a sign). The whole thing is based in a fridge/freezer.

Characters

BackPackers
- Tom A. To
- Twin Potatoes
- Bag of Mushroom Trippers
- Grumpy Broccoli
- Gasy Asparagus

BoganVille
- 6 Pack of VB (family of V.Bitters)
- Light Bulb / Sun / Bug Zapper

Yuppie Daye Spa
- Dip Spa with diving board
- Pre-chopped plate of Celery and Carrot Sticks
- Aerobics Teacher (possibly a Bottle of Mineral Water)

Foreign Cheese Commentators
- French
- Swiss
- Canadian
- Tasmanian

Drinks
- Hippie Soy Milk
- Orange Juice Farmer

Bouncers
- 2 x Gay Meathead Steaks

Freezer Partay
- Ice Cube 'Cool Daddys' and Posse
- Super Dooper Icey Poles (Light Colors = Rich Girls, Dark Colors = Breakdancers)
- Frozen Chicken DJ Betty

Rough Plot

* foreign cheese commentators butt in randomly.
* possible side kick for Tom – tiny mushroom tripper follows him from the vege compartment.

1st Level - Vegetable Compartment - Backpackers

Follow 3 condensation drops down from freezer to the vegetable compartment which is open slightly.

Just before the first drop splashes onto Tom, waking him up, freeze frame and insert text introduction.

The second drop of condensation splashes unseen through Tom’s perspective.

Tom opens eyes slowly. Blink. Third water drop. Blink. Tom glances left and right. Everything’s hazy and there is a bright light. Whispers of “Shh! He’s awake!”

“Who are you working for?” start of interrogation by the grumpy broccoli.

Tom is then put under the guard of the Twin Potatoes, who have their back to him and start doing their verbal back-and-forth.

Meanwhile, the mushroom trippers ask the soy milk for some weed. Soy milk tells them to help Tom cause “all creatures should run wild and free” – the trippers take up the chant of “peace and love to everyone”.

The trippers create a pyramid to aid Tom’s escape while the Potatoes have their backs turned.

Tom makes his dash for freedom … and climbs up into the second tier, stopping under a sign pointing to BoganVille.

2nd Level - BoganVille

There is a DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE sign on the lightbulb that is doubling as the sun and the bug zapper.

It’s very hot and desert like on this tier, and as Tom starts walking into Boganville, the sun (light bulb) sets and becomes a giant bug zapper.

Tom stumbles on to slab box house where the family of bitters and sitting on the slab porch. – Passing a mailbox that says bitters

The olds are teaching the kids about the stars and stuff, and tom looks up and wants to know what the glow is – the tell him about the city, and tom decides he wants to check it out.

Suddenly the bug zapper zaps an big one (night club flyer), and tom goes to investigate. When he gets the he gets zapped up to the next level, with the sub-0 flyer.

3rd Level - Yuppie Daye Spa

Camera pans to see - carrot sticks in spa, others doing aerobics.

Toms goes over to ask about the flyer, but is knocked into the class. Unfortunately his body shape doesn’t allow for much exercise and he falls onto the trampoline. He then bounces up to the next level.

Freezer - SubZero (Night Club)

Gets past the bouncers *** needs elaboration ***

Look around to see the ice cubs, who are snorting ice. MUST NOT MELT.

Zooper dopers breakdancing. And groupies to the ice.

DJ betty – frozen chicken

Tom starts dancing with the zooper dopers, chicken wing flys does a slow mo dodge then freezers. The zooper doopers hits him and he shatters, matrix style.

Sounds like you've really got your work cut out for you there!!

How long are you expecting the animation to be? I like the general concept, but I think you should cut down on the characters, there's a lot there and you'll be better off concentrating on the main plot characters and worry about the extras, used mainly for comedy, if you get time.

keep up with the updates, interest will kick in when there's more to show...
