ok... i may be a noob here... but... uh, (looks at the lion img) what were you thinking of doing? what did you actually do to the pic? (it might be posted up already) i'm guessing it's the face in the puddle of water...

still (even though this might get me flamed) i didn't like it much, and you could've done alot more to it, IF anything...

What if this was to show his photomanipulation. To show that he put the face in the ground. I could have believed that the lion was drawn. Seen many talents here and there, but the signature, beveled atari dont make me believe this.

I can't give any constructive critiques until Atari explained what he has done, what he is trying to do. So i wont.

Add some reflexion to the water (rocks, sky...)

It would have been better without the signature. That really takes too much away from wanting to look at the picture.

It is pretty basic, but I think you meant well.
But all you did was take a picture of angelina jolie's face and paste it into the water, with a mane flowing out behind it. Is the lion you? or her? (If its her, you have to remember that it is a male lion at the water, not a female.) Give us something to go on here. Is it your first pShop image? How long have you been using it?

ok u can see lion & lioness in the image , lion is watching in the water & what he is seeing bollywood top actress aishwria rai, (formar miss world),remember that lioness is siting there.

this image is for fun , not for any creative perpose , here i m not showing any skill , i m trying to show my concept , my idia, that`s it , i think i have to upload both images , then u might get idia , what i did .


some times it happens , when masters can`t understand stupied student`s silly work.

Not that you merged two images, that is called photomanipulation. That what caused it.

But in the start of the thread ppl though you had drawn the whole image. From scratch..
But that seemed strange if you then neglected to draw the signature in same style.

Explain your image at first post, and what you want as cc's.
Have you said that it where a photomanip, then you hadnt gotten all thoose stupid comments.

I don't think so, Tim.

At no point did I believe this image to be anything other than a photomanipulation. The problem, in my opinion, is rather... how can I put this nicely... Aw, let's face it: there is no way to put this nicely! The problem is that this image is hideous. That's why people thought it was a joke.

Now, you may think I'm just being a jerk. So be it. But hey, I know learning Photoshop isn't easy. And I know we can't all have aesthetics in our genes. So I'll give you some pointers to help you on your way.

1. The photo of the lions was a bad choice from the beginning. The colours are dull, as are the lions. No decent photographer would put a piece like this in their portfolio. Furthermore, it is unfit for this concept. Fron this angle, the face will always look either completely flat, or unrecognizable. Then again, you're not likely to ever find a picture which shows both the water and a lion at just the right angle. So maybe you should've picked a different concept and/or a different technique.

2. The "2datri" singature IS bad. it's too big, it's too bright, and the bevel is overdone. It is distracting to the viewer. Sign your work modestly.

3. Your work suffers from a lack of atmosphere (and I don't mean the gases that envelop our planet). If you're trying to make this scene look magical, use colours to express that. Some blue/purple light shining from the water, that sort of stuff.

Something else you should know (and probably don't). Do not put your signature on other people's work without acknowledging the original artists. Unless you took the photo of the Lions AND the actress, you have violated copyright law and fairuse guidelines.
