The start:
Michael made a mesh wich caused a few problems. (the one with wings) to zbrush it, i would almost have been impossible to go into detail, because the polycount was already very high. what you look at is level 0, maximum optimized and reduced, what xsi gave out. For a nice ZBrushsession, it would have been required to unwrap it, what in short would have caused me much pain. I treshed as many edges as possible. Since the result was very very messy, i remodeld a few parts (arms leggs) but tried to keep as many of his original Geometry as possible. to keep it his character.
To avoid a unnessesary high polycount, is required to have a maximum optimized mesh before you start the godly tool. The Angel without wings is what i go for tomorrow.

sidenote: never trust an autoreducer or autowhatever. if you want to have done it clean... do it yourself ;)

Only WIP no final Texturing, rig are not finished, make the muscle setup with the beautifull
tool XSI 4.2
The Hair are only Volume Based to make the rendertime shorter. C+C are welcome.

Hi Michael. Took me long to make you a checklist. Hope this helps u.
hmmm. Am not sure if it was a good idea to start rigging if modeling is far not finnished.
Modeling correction checklist:
Arms, boxy, need a smove out
Hands: too small in scale
neck: too short.
Collar bones: too small, too close to the neck
chest backside: where arms meet the torso: needs a refinement
also rips, need a volume correction.
abdomen needs correction too
legs need to be refined, are too thin
hips, need a refinement.
feet too small in scale
head: too big in scale, should be 1/8 of bodyheight
ears: rotete them, adjust them in placement
advice: buy a bodybuilding magazine and study the anatomical details carefully to understand the bumps and joints and their relations.
Texturing need attention too.
Body: needs a specular map and a more defined diffuse map.
shader looks like plastic.
wings:oppacity map alreaedy metioned on the phone
Fabric: need to be broken up. looks flat.
Gloves: am a bit unsure about them in general
if fingers are chrome, i'd expect joints somewhere, because metal used to be quiet rigid...
Rigging:
arm collapses. when bent.
something with breast/chest shoulder area looks strange when lifted.
Wings don't look working. they somehow look like towels at the moment, carefuly study birdwings, since they seem to be based on them.
Pose:
Looks somehow unnatural. swordhandjoint bends upwards. try to straighten the handjoint. (backhand and lower arm should build almost a straight line on the "outside".
to keep the ballance, the bodypivot should be somewhere upon or between his feet. deciede on wich foot he has his main weight. lift the other verse a bit. Avoid feet looking inwards.
If he's supposed to strike, and a natural thing with the "unused hand" could be move it towards his target.
Well, of course those up there are just sugestions.
I don't know what exactly you are expecting me to do, since you seem have rigged him already. Don't know why i corrected the mesh yesterday when you rigged now your old one  ... C ya tomorrow. Keep it up
