View Full Version : Is there a possible way of using a part of an image as texture just using C4D?
Fatih1 03-14-2005, 09:34 AM Hello everyone,
I have a minor question. Is there a way of using just a porsion of any scanned image as texture in C4D without using any external program, even MS Paint? All I need is to open an image file in C4D, clipping a part of it to use as texture. I don't even ask for a distortion option to correct the texture.
Regards,
Fatih

create a polygon selection, apply your image texture (set it to use the polygon selection), then scale your texture until you are only seeing the part you want

Hi Mikeh64,
Thanks a lot for the reply. It surely works but I was just wondering if there was something like "open bitmap file, select area and save the selected area as" kind of approach. I know it may sound silly, I just want to know if there is a possible way of doing this without leaving the programme.
Thanks again.

you can if you have Bodypaint, you could use it to crop the texture without leaving the program.

as far as I know, there are no such tools - except for BodyPaint, which is like a "super-photoshop-painter-UVmapper" module for Cinema
