The eyes and the eyebrows look very alien. If you're going for a humanoid look, I would make the eyes a bit smaller, and bring the ends of the brows down. The top of the head could also be higher. The eyes should be about centered between the crown and the chin. The mouth looks real good though. Oh, and as for your wires, supurb job on the eye and mouth loops.

I think it's looking good so far, only thing I can think of right now is to add some jaw form into it. It has character already and you just need to emphasize more into it. The suggestions from Quental would also help it on it's way :)

Hmm, I recall reading somewhere that teh elven jaw is not as big as the Human. So, it's a quite natural approach on that regard, maybe you could use some more jaw but not too much.
There are some proportions wrong, im pretty sure the skull "front head" is too big. That might also be beacuse of perspective or if the head is tilted. But it seems like its meant to be directly from the front.
Keep it pushin polys man!

IMHO, it's not that big, I mean, as he model the rest of the head it will bend backwards anyway.
If I think of the elf's in LotR, they have thinner lips and smaller noses.

Here in sweden we have different elf's, which are more correctly called alf's but anyhew.
They are short, with a more round face, large mouth and almost looks like they've sat on a rocket as it launches (everything is pulled back).
I guess that is what tolkien refers to as dark elf's, but he stole so much it's hard to keep track :)
It looks like an EverQuest dark elf to me ;-) It doesn't matter what kind of dark elf it is though... it's looking good!

almost finish the mesh for the head. right now working on hair generate. the render with hair has not come out yet.

it's coming out nicely, i like the subtle addition of the jaw, but you should try to make the ears blend in better with the face, right now they look a little "detached" or like they were glued on, blend in the front of the ear and shape out the inner parts and the earlobe a little more :)

Indeed looking nicely, only thing i can think of is that it might me a Nightelf instead of a darkelf (sorry, been playing WOW to mutch recently). hope to see more soon.

TO LIGUID: i create ear separetly and merged it with the face's poly. u r absolutly right about the blending. it's now fixed. and since the hair is there. can't really see from the front and 1/4 side view.
front hair is done, sort of. does anyone knows any techniques or good tutorials about the shader of hair? i'm using softimage xsi. the hair right now i have is kinda plastic and discontinue.

the diffuse color of the hair i really want to keep it as white.
but now need more reasonable color for ambient and spec.

No, he's got the hair-colour right, but her head needs to be a bit thinner. You should also darken the skin a bit...
Btw. you might find some useful stuff in Zapan's Matriarch (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=185098). Except for the texturing, he managed to get a pretty nice drow. Sad it got screwed up :(

darken the skin a bit. changed the color of hair a bit. didn't narrow the face. guess it's a personal sytle.

You have to put some shadowing on the hairs man! It's just weird like that.
It turned out nice though. When are the textures coming, or are you going to work on the mesh some more?

i got check for the shadow, think i have 1 light associated with the hair and cast shadow map on it.
right now working on her lip syncing. textures should be here soon. sorry for not posting any update lately. was working on another charactor for walk and run cycle.
