Mangled Poly 09-21-2002, 11:47 PM Well as before i mentioned my chair but as i got to know lightwave more i decided to redo it all to incorparate every detail..... This is my first true test at 3 point lighting crits and lighting and chair are welcome

hmmm, compositionally, i would suggest putting the chair on a surface like a floor and have the camera a little above the wheels. for the lighting, i suggest not using such a strong value of blue. you really only need to tint your lights to get a pleasant result. also, a soft valued-red tinted back light will add a lot. i couldn't really see the backlight in the render.
here's an example of what i'm talking about (it's the model from the newtek challenge):

try using a darker value of blue for the colored shadows.
I agree with a floor object to catch the shadows.
