Here's the link to the Firefly story in Videography magazine. (http://www.uemedia.com/CPC/article_1719.shtml)

Apparently they used Lightwave for finishing, texturing and rendering.

"...finishing the spaceships, environments, and exhaust in Lightwave's beautiful renderer," says Peristere." (Loni Peristere of Radium Films).

We were actually showing footage from Firefly in the NewTek booth at SIGGRAPH.

Great looking stuff.

I'm gonna wait until I have seen several shows to really get a concept of how I like it.

I did enjoy it, and parts of it did make me laugh out loud -- but not sure if "its a winner"
